Price per night guide
A plain-English way to compare luxury cruise fares using cost per night, current low fares, and line-by-line pricing basis.
The calculation
Start with the discounted published total for the named cabin and occupancy basis. Taxes, fees, inclusions, and per-person assumptions still need to be read on the journey page.
Formula
Published total ÷ nights = nightly fare
A $4,200 published total on a 14-night sailing is $300 per night. The same total on seven nights is $600 per night.
01
Use the current total for the cabin and occupancy basis you would actually book.
02
Divide by the itinerary length. Do not compare a full-voyage total with a nightly figure.
03
Check the sailing’s history, then compare the same line, region, duration, and season.
Current examples
These are the three lowest nightly fares in the current published reference set. The linked journey pages show the total, dates, cabin basis, and tracked history.
Line context
A line median is useful context because it reduces the effect of one unusually cheap or expensive sailing. It still reflects the line’s current itinerary and cabin mix.
